FAQ’s
1.) Where can I buy ethical muse products?
You can buy items here on our website, and select retail stores internationally.
2.) Where is my money going?
ethical muse products have specific and individual donations attached to the sale of each item. Rather than donating a percentage of our overall profits, we prefer to attach a dollar amount, or a tangible measure, so our conscious consumer can see exactly what their money is going towards and can consider the social impact of their purchase. Bi-annually, we will make donations towards the different causes we support. The dollar amount donated will be based on our sales to date.
3.) What’s the story?
Because we are a socially conscious brand, each item has a story to tell. We are selective with who we work with and what materials we use. An ethical muse product always contains a sustainable component which is noted on our website and hangtags. We care about the sustainability of people and planet, so even our business is run in an eco-friendly way. You will find us using email to communicate and using 100% recycled paper and environmentally friendly inks and dyes whenever possible.
4.) Will I receive order and shipping confirmations separately?
After placing an order through our website, customers will receive an email confirmation. Once the order has shipped you will receive another email letting you know the tracking number. Please note that certain items may have longer lead times. Typically, if your item is in stock it will ship out within 5 days.
5.) What company do you use for shipping?
We use Aramax and their global partners for local and international shipping. MGT International is our import/export agent of record so you may also see their name on paperwork when you receive your shipment.
6.) Returns & Exchanges
Returns:
Due to the donation portion connected with each ethical muse product, all online sales are final.
Exchanges:
Exchanges will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Exchange requests may be made by emailing contact@ethicalmuse.com. Please note: customers assume responsibility for all shipping charges associated with the exchange.
7.) What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are accepted exclusively through 2CO so you can be sure your information is secure. Please note that we accept transactions in US Dollars and your payment will be converted to USD when you pay.
8.) If the order is a gift, will the value of the item be excluded?
If the order is a gift, the package will be marked as such, but the cost of the item will still be included on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to declare the value of the gift item directly on the package.
9.) How much does shipping cost?
We offer a flat shipping rate of $10 USD for worldwide international orders. Shipping within the UAE is free. Please be advised that shipment to countries outside of the UAE may be subject to taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country (known as “import fees”). The receipient of the shipment is the importer of record in the destination country and is responsible for all Import Fees if applicable. These must be paid by the person receiving the package when it reaches its destination.
10.) What if I decide not to accept the package once it arrives?
If you refuse a shipment from ethical muse, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees incurred on the package and the cost of returning the package to ethical muse. Please view our return/exchange policy above.
