As fans of Gwyneth Paltrow’s life-style blog Goop, we couldn’t wait to pay a visit to her pop-up shop in Manhattan. Walking into Goop Mrkt makes you feel as if you’ve been invited to her NYC apartment. All cool girl vibe, with her trademark feminine touches throughout. Designed by Roman and Williams, each piece of furniture is available for sale along with a plethora of G.P.’s latest choice things, many of which can also be found on her website. Read on to check out a few of our fave purchases…
With the holiday season upon us, we picked up Maud Heline’s Aristide bat-sleeve shirt and Nili Lotan’s East Hampton pant. Both are NY-based designers and both items are perfect for cruising the Caribbean over the holidays. We love to preach about sustainability coming in all forms, but supporting locally-based designers by buying their products, or creating awareness of their talent, is one of our favorite ways to practice.
Moving into the kitchen, the matcha green tea by West Village-based Chalait, together with an authentic tea-ceremony-esque bowl and whisk , was our next purchase. Getting our daily dose of green tea is our favorite way to start our days in Dubai. Christina likes hers iced, Cathy likes hers hot, and both like having this East Coast brand in their Middle East kitchens.
Our final selection was discovered in the bathroom decorated with de Gourney hand painted wallpaper. One of our favorite sustainable brands, Beautycounter’s lip-shine will ensure kissable lips under the mistletoe. And our Xmas wish next year…to see the Goop Mrkt pop-up in Dubai! Can you hear us, Santa?
